SCENARIO B: The above statement for 2 different clients is a bad excuse from the devsWell, since you already abandoned the game to begin with, do this: de-list the current version and release a new one with the DLC built in for $30 instead of $20, along with a "Upgrade pack" for $10 that can be applied to the owners of the base version. Sounds hard? Well, while I've only developped RPG Maker games, I can assure you it takes about 2 minutes to implement there, so I can't see how it will take months or incredible work to implement here ( *cough*replace call to Steam servcer for DLC verification with call to Windows folder to seek a file*cough*). Add a verification somewhere in the game code and an extra blank file (for example NODLC.bin), then have the game search for this file in its folder - if it's there, don't load the DLC content in both single and multiplayer, and if it not there, load the content (and if the DLC is not there but someone erased the file as attempt to cheat it, receive error or game crash, they shouldn't have deleted it without having te DLC installed). SCENARIO A: The Steam and GoG.com versions are in reality 2 separate games (as hinted by the devs when asked why the GoG.com patches take OVER a month to be released)Since you already gave the stand-alone GoG client, have the whole DLC content in a separate DLC pack for sale like any other game there.
